Framework

Pray

We pray, put simply, to communicate with God.

Communicating with God can happen at home, at church, in the car or while you get ready for bed. When we talk with God, and let him know what we are grateful for, we are able to replace our worry, that we’ve given to god, with peace that comes from Jesus. That is why Prayer is part of our “Framework”.

Phillippians 4:7

Read

We read the bible for insight into the nature of God.

The Bible is full of stories of Jesus, God, and all of the people that followed their ways. When we read the Bible, we’re able to see so much of who we could be and see how God works through all his people, even when they were broken. And it empowers us to know that He can and will work through us!

Psalm 119:105

Serve

We serve to grow our faith and be a part.

When we volunteer we become a part of something that is bigger than ourselves. We serve because Jesus taught us to serve. We see this in the story of John 13:1-17 when Jesus washed the feet of his disciples, showing that he wasn’t above serving those around him.

John 13:1-17

Worship

Worship puts our focus on God.

Worshipping God, put simply, is putting our relationship with God first in our life. We realize that our problems aren’t as big as our God. When we come to God with worship and gratitude, we see things from a heavenly altitude!

Psalm 57:7

Give

We give our time, love, forgiveness and finances.

Giving has so much more to do with money, but giving financially can definitely be the catalyst to growing our faith in ways that giving of our time isn’t able to do. It requires intention and sacrifice. In the story seen in Luke 21:1-4, we see Jesus show us that it’s not how much we can give, it’s the heart with which we give!
